GARMIN etrex 10 / 20/20x / 30/30x |
These models support the Russian GLONASS satellites |
Rugged, portable, waterproof GPS devices with easy to read display and USB interface for data exchange with computer. Buttons and click stick for easy use. The model etrex 10 has a monochrome display and a pre-installed worldwide basemap. The models etrex 20/20x and etrex 30/30x are equipped with color displays, the screens of the x-models have a resolution of 240x320 pixels, the display resolution of the other models is 176x220 pixels. The models
etrex 20/30 have a pre-installed basemap and support additional maps which are available as options. Both models have 1.7 GB built-in memory and a slot for an optional µSD memory card. The models etrex 20x/30x have a pre-installed map of Western Europe which supports autorouting providing turn-by-turn directions. These models are equipped with 3.6 GB built-in memory of which 3.3 GB are occupied by the pre-installed map. They also provide support for optional maps and a
slot for an optional µSD memory card.
The models etrex 30/30x are additionally equipped with a barometrical altimeter and a tilt-compensated electronic compass. In addition, they can receive signals from a heart rate monitor or a cadence sensor and they support wireless data exchange with compatible devices. All models are well suited for all kinds of outdoor activities such as hiking, biking and geocaching, but they can also be used in vehicles. The display is highly user configurable.
Multiple settings can be stored as profiles which allow quick switching between different activities.

Note: Even if the displays of all three models are basically of the same size, the monochrome pages of the etrex 10 appear smaller than the colored pages of the etrex 20 and 30. This is because the color display has more pixels per square inch than the monochrome display.
