The GARMIN Camper 660 provides very fast automatic route calculation and route optimization by reordering via-points of routes with multiple intermediate destinations. It provides visual and voice guidance and the lane assistant indicates the correct path in great detail if there are multiple lanes. This GPS supports different vehicle profiles and optimizes the calculated route based on length, width, height and weight. The Camper 660 has a large, easy to read 6" color
display with touchscreen, an extremely sensitive antenna, an integrated world map (overview) plus a base map of Europe, Africa and the near East. It has a multi-lingual user interface and is easy to use either via the touchscreen or by simply speaking voice commands.
The Camper 660 has 14.2 GB built-in memory to store the pre-installed, detailed map of all of Europe with even more information, such as local roads, restaurants and points of interest. It supports searching addresses and points of interest. There is a comprehensive list of ACSI campgrounds and RV parks (Auto Camper Service International). It provides a filter function to find campgrounds and RV parks with particular features such as a pool, grocery store etc. The GPS
shows changes of the speed limit in advance in order to support an economical driving style. Lifetime update for the map is included.
There are approx. 6.06 GB of unused memory to store other data such as waypoints, pictures or additional maps. This model has a speech computer to announce the names of the roads. The package also includes a TMC receiver to incorporate traffic news. The Camper 660 is equipped with a BlueTooth interface to communicate with mobile phones which have the required communication capabilities in order to call car rental offices, hotels, restaurants etc. whose phone numbers
are stored on the GPS with a single touch on the screen. It can also act as a hands-free extension set to the phones. Additionally, the Camper 660 has a slot for an optional microSD memory module to store additional detailed maps or other data such as photos. The Camper 660 supports displaying video from a wireless backup camera.
The model GARMIN Camper 660LMT-D is also known as RV 660LMT.
