Hand held GPS receiver with large display, integrated world and Europe/Africa map, electronic compass, barometrical altimeter, special features for marine use plus USB and serial interface.
The GARMIN GPSMAP76CS / GPSMAP76CSx is easy to use, supports multiple languages, has a large, easy to read color display, an extremely sensitive antenna, an integrated world map (overview) plus a base map of Europe, Africa and the near East. In addition, the GPSMAP76CS has 115 MB of built-in memory to store even more detailed information, such as local roads, restaurants and points of interest. The GPSMAP76CSx has a slot for a standard micro SD memory card in the battery compartment and comes with a 128 MB memory card. As an enhancement over the GPSMAP76C / GPSMAP76Cx, the GPSMAP76CS / GPSMAP76CSx has an electronic compass and a barometrical altimeter. It provides special features for marine use, such as off course, anchor drag or shallow water alarms. The GPSMAP76CS / GPSMAP76CSx provides navigation information outdoors, in a car, in a train, on a boat or even in an airplane (see MapSource examples). The built-in serial interface supports data exchange with a PC.

Selection 1: For each data field, you can choose one from the following 39 values.
No Name Explanation 1 Accuracy GPS The current accuracy of your GPS determined position. 2 Bearing The compass direction from a position to a destination measured to the nearest degree; also called an azimuth. In a GPS receiver, bearing usually refers to the direction to a waypoint. 3 Course The direction from the beginning landmark of a course to its destination (measured in degrees, radians, or mils) or the direction from a route waypoint to the next waypoint in the route segment. 4 Depth Depth of water (requires NMEA input from a sonar device). 5 Distance to next Current distance to the next waypoint or turn. 6 Distance to destination Current distance to the final destination. 7 ETA at next Estimated arrival time at the next turn. 8 ETA at destination Estimated arrival time at the final destination. 9 Elevation Current altitude above sea level. 10 Glide ratio The ratio of horizontal distance travelled to vertical distance. 11 Glide ratio to destination The glide ratio required to descend from your current position and elevation to the destination's elevation. 12 Heading The direction in which you are currently moving. 13 Location (lat/lon) Current location as latitude/longitude coordinates. 14 Location (selected) Current location indicated in the selected format (datum). 15 Odometer Total distance travelled since last reset*). 16 Off Course The distance you are off the desired course. 17 Pointer Arrow that indicates the direction to travel to the next point on a route. 18 Speed Current speed. 19 Speed - Maximum Maximum speed since last reset*). 20 Speed - Moving Avg. Average speed without the time with no motion since the last reset*). 21 Speed - Overall Avg. Average speed including the time with no motion since the last reset*). 22 Sunrise Time of sunrise at the current position. 23 Sunset Time of sunset at the current position. 24 Time To Destination Estimated travel time to the final destination. 25 Time To Next Estimated travel time to the next waypoint (turn, crossing etc.). 26 Time of Day Current time. 27 To Course Direction to the planned course. 28 Trip Odometer Travelled distance since last reset*). 29 Trip Time - Moving Time with motion since last reset*). 30 Trip Time - Stopped Time without motion since last reset*). 31 Trip Time - Total Total time since last reset*). 32 Turn The direction of and the distance to the next turn on a route. 33 Velocity Made Good The rate of closure to the destination, based upon your current speed and course. 34 Vertical Speed Current ascending or descending speed. 35 Vertical Speed To Dest The measurement of your rate of ascent to a predetermined elevation. 36 Water Speed Current speed over water (requires an external data acquisition device). 37 Water Temperature Temperature of the water (requires an external data acquisition device). 38 Waypoint At Dest Name of the waypoint at the final destination. 39 Waypoint At Next Name of the next waypoint. *) You may reset the trip-counters, the Odometer and the Maximum Speed independently of each other.
Navigatorion 2: For each data field, you can choose one from the following 15 values.
No Name Explanation 1 Ambient pressure The uncalibrated current pressure. 2 Ascent average The average vertical distance of ascents. 3 Ascent maximum The maximum ascent rate. 4 Ascent total The total distance ascended. 5 Barometer The calibrated current pressure. 6 Descent average The average vertical distance of descents. 7 Descent maximum The maximum descent rate. 8 Descent total The total distance descended. 9 Elevation Current altitude above sea level. 10 Minimum elevation Lowest altitude above sea level since last reset.. 11 Maximum elevation Highest altitude above sea level since last reset. 12 Glide ratio The ratio of horizontal distance travelled to vertical distance. 13 Glide ratio to destination The glide ratio required to descend from your current position and elevation to the destination's elevation. 14 Vertical Speed Current ascending or descending speed. 15 Vertical Speed To Dest The measurement of your rate of ascent to a predetermined elevation.
